Overview
The ABB TU836V1 (Part Number: 3BSE013237R1) is an Extended Module Termination Unit (MTU) designed for the S800 I/O platform. It functions as a single-slot, non-redundant, passive interface baseplate that connects one S800 I/O module to the ModuleBus. Featuring three rows of toolless spring-clamp terminals with increased cross-sectional wiring capacity, the TU836V1 provides a vibration-resistant, heavy-duty field-side signal termination path without any active electronic failure points on the board.

Installation Notes
- Snap the TU836V1 MTU firmly onto the cabinet DIN rail until the rear locking mechanism fully engages.
- Ensure the integrated grounding clip makes solid, paint-free contact with the metallic rail to guarantee reliable EMI/RFI shielding.
- Set the mechanical keying wheels on the MTU face to exactly match the designated keying profile of the target S800 I/O module before slotting the electronics in.
- Insert a small screwdriver tool into the terminal actuator slot to open the internal clamp, push the stripped field wire firmly into place, and remove the tool to create a permanent, gas-tight bond.
