Installation and Wiring Logic

  • Can I mix current and voltage inputs on the same module?
    Yes. Each channel is individually configurable. For example, a 4–20 mA pressure transmitter can be connected to Channel 0 and a 0–10V position sensor to Channel 1 without interference.

  • What is the "Power Supply Distance Rating"?
    The 1769-IF4 has a rating of 8, meaning it cannot be more than eight slots away from the system power supply (e.g., 1769-PA4). Exceeding this distance may compromise signal accuracy due to backplane voltage drop.
