Product Description

The FM211 (Part Number: 00012200-00) is a FASTBUS Master fiber optic communication module for the Bachmann M1 system. It converts bus signals into optical pulses for high-speed, long-distance communication with total EMI immunity, making it ideal for wind farms, power plants, and maritime automation.

The module supports deterministic 10 Mbit/s data transmission over HCS fiber up to 200 meters per segment and integrates seamlessly with Bachmann SolutionCenter for network configuration and monitoring.

FAQ

Is FM211 compatible with standard plastic optical fiber (POF)?
No. HCS fiber is required for distances up to 200 m and certified industrial operation. POF works only over very short distances.

How many slave modules can one FM211 control?
It can manage multiple daisy-chained FS211/N slaves; exact numbers depend on system cycle time and total I/O volume configured in Bachmann SolutionCenter.
