  1. Slot Assignment: Install the F8627X into an available slot in the central module subrack. Each central module supports up to 5 F8627X / F8628X communication modules.

  3. Ethernet Connection: Connect a standard Cat5e/Cat6 cable to the RJ45 port. For redundant SafeEthernet, install a second F8627X and configure redundant network paths.
