Installation Guide
- Install the 4352B into a communication slot in the Tricon chassis.
- Connect primary and backup Ethernet cables to RJ-45 ports NET 1 and NET 2.
- For fiber connectivity, insert multi-mode fiber cables with MT-RJ connectors into the fiber ports.
- Configure IP addresses, subnet masks, and protocol settings in TriStation 1131.
- Enable redundant path monitoring. The 4352B automatically switches to the backup port if the primary fails.
- Verify link status via front-panel LEDs: LINK, ACT, PASS, FAULT.

Q: What is the difference between 4351B, 4352B, and 4353?
A: The 4351B has copper Ethernet only (2× RJ45, 10/100 Mbps). The 4352B adds dual fiber Ethernet (MT-RJ, 100 Mbps) for environments with high EMI. The 4353 is copper-only but supports 100 Mbps fixed on NET 2 and includes an embedded OPC server. The 4354 adds enhanced OPC features. Note: 4351A/B/4352A/B cannot be mixed with 4351/4352 in the same logical slot or system.
Q: Can I use single-mode fiber with the 4352B?
A: No. The 4352B uses multi-mode fiber with MT-RJ connectors. For single-mode fiber applications, use media converters or select a different communication strategy.
Q: Does the 4352B support Modbus TCP/IP as both client and server?
