Product Overview
The 1769-OW16 is a high-density electromechanical relay output module for Allen-Bradley CompactLogix and MicroLogix 1500 families. It provides 16 normally open (N.O.) contacts, offering a robust solution for switching diverse AC and DC loads within a single slot.
With two isolated groups of eight points each, engineers can control multiple circuits with varying voltage levels or phases. Its mechanical relay design ensures zero off-state leakage current, making it ideal for safety interlocks, pilot lights, and applications where solid-state leakage could cause false "ON" states.

Common Technical Questions
-
Can I switch 120V AC and 24V DC simultaneously?
Yes. With two isolated groups (0–7 and 8–15), you can supply 120V AC to Group 1 and 24V DC to Group 2 without electrical interference. -
Why is there a 10 ms switching delay?
The module uses electromechanical relays, which require physical contact movement. This, combined with contact debounce logic, results in a 10 ms delay. For microsecond switching applications, a solid-state module like the 1769-OB16 is recommended.
