1. Input Signal Type
   The DAI02 accepts 0–10 VDC voltage signals. It does not accept 4–20 mA current signals. Use DAI01 for 4–20 mA inputs.

Installation Guide

• Step 1: Power down the Freelance 2000 I/O rack. Verify all field devices are de-energized.
• Step 2: Insert the DAI02 module into the designated analog input slot. Press firmly until the retention clips engage.
• Step 3: Connect field sensor signal wires to the module terminals. Connect signal + to channel + and signal − to channel −.
• Step 4: In the Freelance 2000 engineering station, assign channel tags and configure 0–10 V scaling for each input.
• Step 5: Verify each channel reading against a calibrated voltage source. Confirm 0 V reads 0% and 10 V reads 100% of scaled range.

Selection Tips

Choose DAI02 for 16-channel 0–10 VDC analog input in Freelance 2000 systems. For 4–20 mA current inputs, select DAI01. For HART-enabled analog inputs, select DAI03. For RTD and thermocouple inputs, select DAI04.
