Overview
The Honeywell CC-PAOH01 is a 16-channel High-Level Analog Output Module with HART capability designed for the Experion Series C I/O platform. It delivers high-level constant 4-20 mA current loops to control actuators, positioners, and recording/indicating field devices, featuring extensive self-diagnostics and per-channel safe-state behaviors.

Compatible Module Termination Assemblies (IOTA Models)
- CC-TAOX01: Non-Redundant 6” IOTA assembly
- CC-TAOX11: Redundant 12” IOTA assembly
- CC-GAOX11: Redundant 12” IOTA assembly (Conformally Coated)
- CC-GAOX21: Non-Redundant 6” IOTA assembly (Conformally Coated)
Key Operational Features
- FAILOPT Behavior: Supports configurable fail-option parameters defined on a per-channel basis. Each channel can be set to either HOLD LAST VALUE or SHED to a SAFE VALUE. If the IOM device electronics fail completely, the output always drops to 0 mA (the absolute safe state).
- Open-wire Detection: Automatically scans, detects, and annunciates open field wiring conditions via a Channel Soft Failure indication.
- Output Read-back: Continuously monitors executed output values and generates system alarms upon tracking discrepancy detections.
- Non-incendive Output: Provides built-in non-incendive field circuit capability for deployment near hazardous environments.
Installation Notes
- Insert the CC-PAOH01 module onto its matched IOTA slot allocation (CC-TAOX01, CC-TAOX11, CC-GAOX11, or CC-GAOX21) depending on redundancy and environmental protection requirements.
- Ensure that total external field loop loop resistance, including wire resistance and control valve positioner internal load, does not exceed the 800 Ω maximum threshold.
- Verify that the maximum open circuit voltage stays bounded at 22 V under full diagnostic loops testing.
- Define individual channel FAILOPT behaviors (Hold Last Value or Safe Value target) inside the control network manager environment before executing C300 controller warm boot sequences.
