1. HART Device Diagnostics
   The 5X00063G01 supports HART protocol overlay on all 8 channels. This enables digital diagnostics, calibration, and configuration of HART-enabled field devices without additional wiring.
2. Maximum Load Per Channel
   Each channel drives 500 Ω at 24 VDC. Total loop resistance including cable and device must not exceed 500 Ω.
3. Hot-Swap Support
   The module inserts and removes from a powered Ovation I/O rack without system shutdown. The rack must support hot-swap functionality.
4. Output Range Selection
   The output range is software-configurable via Ovation configuration tools. Select 4–20 mA or 0–20 mA per channel.

Installation Guide

• Step 1: Power down the I/O rack or confirm hot-swap capability. Wear an anti-static wrist strap.
• Step 2: Align the module with the keyed slot in the Ovation I/O chassis. Insert firmly until latches engage.
• Step 3: Connect field wiring to screw terminals. Connect + (sourcing) to actuator +, − to common.
