Product Description

The 140CHS11000 is a dedicated Hot Standby (HSBY) synchronization module for the Modicon Quantum PLC platform. It provides high-speed, deterministic data synchronization between primary and standby controllers, enabling seamless redundancy in mission-critical systems. Using fiber optic communication, the module ensures electrical isolation, EMI immunity, and rapid failover where system availability is paramount.

FAQ

Can copper Ethernet cables be used?
No. Although the connectors resemble RJ45, they are fiber-optic interfaces only. Copper Ethernet cables are not supported.

Is this module supported in EcoStruxure Control Expert?
Yes. While originally developed for Concept and ProWORX, the module remains supported for legacy system maintenance and expansion in modern Schneider Electric engineering environments.

What occurs if the fiber link fails?
A red fault LED is triggered, and the system typically maintains operation on the primary controller while issuing an alarm to the HMI/SCADA layer.
