The VME5565 (VMIVME-5565-010000) is a Reflective Memory (RFM) VME node card originally developed by VMIC and later supported by GE Intelligent Platforms and Abaco Systems. It enables deterministic, real-time data sharing between multiple computers or controllers by maintaining a synchronized shared memory space over a fiber-optic network.

Reflective memory technology ensures that any data written by one node is automatically replicated to all other nodes at the hardware level, without operating system involvement. This guarantees predictable timing and ultra-low latency, making the VMIVME-5565 well suited for mission-critical distributed control, simulation, and real-time computing systems.
